PROGRAM UPDATE: As of July 1, 2024, there is no longer a requirement for participants to take an 8-hour class. First-time participants can take the 4-hour class and repeat every three years to qualify for the discount.
Spend quality time painting with your child in this fun, hands-on class. No experience is needed. Each participant will create their own 11x14” canvas painting, which can stand alone or be paired side by side for a combined work of art. Step-by-step instruction is provided. Ages five and up with an adult.
For more than 20 years, Tammy has guided painting workshops designed to make creativity feel welcoming, relaxed and completely doable for any skill level. Her step-by-step approach takes the pressure off and replaces it with confidence, curiosity and a few well-earned laughs along the way.
Alongside workshops, Tammy’s artistic path has included teaching large-scale theater backdrop painting, serving as the artist selected for the White House Minnesota tree, working as a resident artist at Pipestone National Monument and creating commissioned work for organizations nationwide including a project for the National Coalition for the Homeless in Washington, DC. These experiences have shaped how she teaches clearly, patiently and with respect for every creative voice in the room.
But titles aside, Tammy is here for one simple reason: to lead participants through a friendly, fun, step-by-step painting experience where they can relax, explore and walk away surprised by what they have created. No pressure. No perfection. Just paint, guidance and the joy of making something uniquely theirs.
