First-time participants can take the 4-hour class and repeat every three years to qualify for the discount. The Driver Discount Program is a state-approved accident prevention/insurance discount class that is open to the public. Pre-registration is required. A Precision Driving Center of Minnesota certified instructor teaches this class. Participants will be provided the latest information regarding driver and traffic safety, new vehicle technology, and updates on traffic laws. This class has something for everyone! Participants ages 55 and older who complete the course qualify for up to a 10% discount on their auto insurance premiums for three years and must take a four-hour refresher class every three years to maintain the discount.Winter/Spring 2025

Alice in Wonderland Theatre CampWeek 3Fall down the rabbit hole with Storybook Theatre’s Alice in Wonderland! Join Alice as she journeys through the whimsical world of Wonderland, where she must attend the Queen of Hearts’ Unbirthday Party to keep her head. Along the way, she encounters peculiar characters like the synchronized Birds, opinionated Flowers, the Cheshire Cat, the Pig Baby, and the hilariously eccentric Mad Tea Party guests. As Alice reaches the Queen’s grand celebration, the Jack of Hearts is accused of theft, and Alice must win the Queen’s favor in a thrilling game of croquet to save the day. Packed with humor, heart and unforgettable moments, this family-friendly production brings the magic of Wonderland to life. All students participate on stage in this play. Auditions are on Monday, and will last two hours. Roles will be announced at the end of the audition and everyone will stay afterward for rehearsal. Rehearsal schedule for the week is generally 8:30am-12:45pm, but might vary based on role. An exact schedule will be distributed on Monday. Please be sure to send a snack and water bottle with your student every day! Public performances will be held on Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 11am at Shakopee West Middle School (Carl A. Olson Auditorium). Tickets are $5/person. There will be a private performance for YMCA childcare on Friday at 1pm.Summer 2025

Battle Drones CampWeek 9Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents' drones. Students will be guided by experienced instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones.
