The Driver Discount Program is a state-approved accident prevention/insurance discount class that is open to the public. Pre-registration is required. A Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center certified instructor teaches this class. Participants will be provided the latest information regarding driver and traffic safety, new vehicle technology, and updates on traffic laws. This class has something for everyone!
Participants ages 55 and older who complete the course qualify for up to a 10% discount on their auto insurance premiums for three years. First-time participants must complete the initial eight hours of training and a four-hour refresher class every three years to maintain the discount. Meets two times.Pre-registration is required.
Our 55+ Driver Discount Program (DDP) courses are approved by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety in accordance with Minnesota State Statute 65b.28 and will save you 10% on your auto insurance premiums! At the Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center, we offer our courses through multiple options in order to fit our customer’s needs.
