Peek into Preschool:: We recognize that children develop along a continuum and this class is perfect for children who are working towards the independent skills needed for preschool. This unique blend of parent/child time and peer group interaction offers an introductory preschool experience. The Parent/child day includes playtime together followed by a circle time and lastly a time for separation where parents will have the opportunity to support each other in discussions led by one of our parent and family educators . Parents must register and attend the parent/child class day on Mondays with Wednesday being a child only day which allows your child to begin to gain independence and self confidence. Summer Session 1: (With Parent Separation time) Join our special 3-week class and give your child an unforgettable start to summer filled with outdoor fun, creativity, and valuable learning experiences. This unique class will take place in a different community park each week, allowing your child to explore new environments and engage in exciting activities led by an Early Childhood teacher. Parents will have an opportunity to connect with other parents during our parent conversation time, led by a licensed Parent Educator. BYO blanket or camping chair to sit on. (Inclement weather - class will be held inside at Pearson). PLEASE PACK A SNACK AND DRINK EACH WEEK FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILD. Summer Session 2: (No Parent Ed/Separation time:) Adventures in the Park - Get ready to put on your outdoor shoes and join us for an adventure at two different Shakopee parks where we will explore, create art and end with some circle time songs.
