Antique Appraisal Event
Have you ever wondered what your family heirlooms are worth? Join us for a thirty-minute appraising presentation followed by an appraisal of at least one item per participant. You'll be assigned a 10-minute time slot in the order you registered to have your item appraised. Once everyone has had their item valued, Certified Appraiser David Schlueter will examine additional items as time allows. Examples of items that can be appraised are antiques, fine jewelry, costume jewelry, precious gemstones, all art, and coins. This is for items you can easily carry. Please refrain from bringing firearms or Beanie Babies. Please name the one item you would like appraised on the registration form, and email photos of the item if you can, to estarke@shakopee.k12.mn.us at least one week prior to the event. Coffee and treats will be provided.

Great constellation mythological stories will also be shared. This activity is great for all ages, and kids must be accompanied by an adult. RVTC Youth Studio: Disney's Finding Nemo JR
Jun 10-14
Join us for a 60-minute musical adaptation of the 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo. With new music from the Frozen songwriting team, audiences and participants will enjoy songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow." Taken from Music Theatre International: Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his son Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves. Student participants will learn the basics of theatre performing, plus a new look into puppetry and unique choreography. All registrants will be given a role; auditions are held the first day. Shakopee Pole Vault Camp
Jun 10-14
Our pole vault summer camp is perfect for any beginner, intermediate, or advanced pole vaulter who is looking to improve their skills over the summer. The camp will focus on the approach, plant, swing, and turn of the vault with coaching from former University of Minnesota vaulter, Big 10 bronze medalist and current Shakopee Track & Field Coach, Alexis Berg. The camp will have one-on-one coaching with execution of sand, land, and pit drills that will help each athlete improve their technique. Poles will be provided for each practice, but athletes are welcome to bring their own, if desired. An in-house competition will be held at the end of the three-week program where participants will have a chance to put their new skills to the test!

Shakopee Youth Advanced Golf
Jun 10-14
This intermediate golf program is targeted at those who have some experience playing golf, but would like to learn strategies for improving their game. Our focus will be teaching drills and concepts that students can use on their own. Sessions will consist of skill-building on the driving range, putting, short game, and some time on the course. Players will be expected to be on time, listen attentively, and work hard. A full set of clubs is not necessary, but highly recommended.

Shakopee Youth Beginner Golf
Jun 10-14
The beginner golf program is targeted for students who are interested in trying the sport of golf. We will cover the basics of the swing, putting, scorekeeping, and golf etiquette. The ultimate goal is to provide a foundation that will allow players to continue working on their own and grow their appreciation of the game. A full set of clubs is not necessary, but players will need to provide at least their own driver, any iron, and a putter. We will spend three days working on basics and learning drills, and the fourth day will culminate in playing a mini-round on the actual course.
