This hands-on class will show you how to make this drink at home, including how to make the tapioca pearls and adjust the drink to your personal taste. The class fee includes all supplies.

Open for anyone who enjoys being in the kitchen and wants to learn. Please indicate any food allergies or dietary restrictions as they can be accommodated with prior knowledge.     Set your child up for social skills success with this class that builds children's self-confidence as they learn important skills that help them succeed. Children learn to make an outstanding first impression, speak with confidence, use great manners, dine with distinction and much more! Each class is packed with information, interaction and a lot of FUN! Children will be encouraged to practice the skills that were learned following each class. Topics include: making a great first impression, introducing yourself/others, engaging in polite conversation, setting a basic table, using good table manners and showing gratitude. Meets two times.
  • Pastel Petals Cookie Decorating

    Let your creativity bloom in this sweet springtime workshop designed just for young bakers! In Pastel Petals Cookie Decorating, kids will learn the basics of cookie design using soft pastel colors, floral themes and fun icing techniques. From pretty petals to adding sparkly details, each participant will decorate their own set of sugar cookies to take home and share (or keep all to themselves—we won’t tell!). This hands-on class encourages artistic expression, builds kitchen confidence and celebrates the joy of spring through sugar and smiles. All supplies are provided - just bring your imagination and a love for cookies!
  • Pollinator Gardening for Kids

    Did you know that bees need baths and the Monarch butterfly population is struggling because of disappearing milkweed patches? Our pollinators, such as bees, butterflies and bats are facing challenges in today's environment due to pesticide usage and disappearing native plants. Pollinators play a vital role in the ecosystem and food production. Join us to talk about the importance of pollinators and how to create places where they can thrive. Participants will build their own container pollinator garden in class to take home.
  • Pop-It Chocolate Bar Bash

    Get ready to mix, mold and munch in this hands-on chocolate-making adventure! Participants will create their very own Pop-It chocolate bars using colorful silicone molds, melted chocolate and a rainbow of toppings from sprinkles to gummy bears. But that’s just the beginning! Between chocolate layers, we’ll play interactive games and win awesome prizes!
  • Safe at Home on My Own

    Safe at Home on My Own is designed to help prepare youth to safely take care of themselves when they are home alone. We will answer questions about setting up routines for youth to be by themselves when their parents are not home and also discuss common household emergencies, using the telephone, basic First Aid, and more. This class is intended to be a tool to help families prepare youth for staying home alone. It will not fully prepare all youth for the responsibilities involved with being at home alone. Taught in partnership with the Shakopee Police Department.
  • Safety & Self-Defense

    Safety is about the situation, self-awareness and self-defense. Learn the fundamentals, effective responses to practical situations and experience hands-on exercises. This class includes discussion on boundaries, saying "no," de-escalation and the importance of taking care of ourselves. Participants will learn the most critical elements to keep themselves safe and practice self-awareness. They will also punch, kick, block, yell and more. Build a strong foundation for strength and confidence. This is a youth-focused class. Parents are welcome to watch.

Young bakers will explore the art of edible design as they decorate a variety of Shamrock cookies using colorful icing, sprinkles and sweet surprises. Whether you’re crafting a cookie for someone special or just enjoying the sugary fun, this class is all about expressing yourself through delicious treats. Perfect for kids who love to get creative in the kitchen and find the pot of gold with every bite. Come dressed to decorate and leave with lots of luck (and maybe a little frosting too)!
