PROGRAM UPDATE: As of July 1, 2024, there is no longer a requirement for participants to take an 8-hour class. First-time participants can take the 4-hour class and repeat every three years to qualify for the discount.
Hoċokata Ṫi’s 3,805-square-foot public exhibit, called Mdewakanton: Dwellers of the Spirit Lake, provides visitors with a cultural experience that enhances their knowledge and understanding of the Mdewakanton Dakota people and their history. After exploring the exhibit, Cultural Interpreter Michael Kurtz will take you on a guided nature walk around Hoċokata Ṫi's grounds. This tour is appropriate for all ages and abilities. All proceeds from this event go to Hoċokata Ṫi.
