Mike Lynch's Minnesota Starwatch Party

Adult / Hobbies and Arts -
Summer 2025

Join former WCCO meteorologist Mike Lynch to watch the great celestial show over Shakopee! He will have giant telescopes aimed at Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, star clusters, galaxies, and more! Live video telescopes will also be available. Get to know constellations like The Big Bear, Cygnus the Swan, Pegasus the Winged Horse, and many others. Great constellation mythological stories will also be shared. This activity is great for all ages, and kids must be accompanied by an adult. Feel free to bring a lawn chair and blanket to make yourself comfy and enjoy the show! In the case of excessive cloud cover or inclement weather, participants are still welcome to attend for an informative presentation indoors, and will be issued a 'cloud check' certificate to attend any Starwatch Party in the future free of charge. There will be many scheduled throughout the metro area.
