PROGRAM UPDATE: As of July 1, 2024, there is no longer a requirement for participants to take an 8-hour class. First-time participants can take the 4-hour class and repeat every three years to qualify for the discount.
This Synchronized Swim Program is designed for new swimmers interested in trying out the sport, as well as returning swimmers looking to train for the Shakopee/Prior Lake High School Synchronized Swimming Spring 2026 season. Participants must be in 7th-12th grade enrolled in either Shakopee or Prior Lake school districts.New and returning high school team swimmers are invited to register. New swimmers must be able to swim 100 yards without stopping and tread water for 2 minutes without taking a break. A swim test will be conducted and required on the first day of practice. The program will focus on figures, hybrids, lifts and conditioning games. No prior synchronized swimming experience is required. Successful synchronized swimmers often have a background in swimming, musical theater, dance, gymnastics or just love to swim and play around in the water. Meets eight times.
