Parents & Students are Invited to Attend a 2024-25 Point of Impact Meeting
The more you know about teen driver risks, laws, and helpful ways to talk to your teen, the more you can help your student become a safe driver. Parents and students are invited and encouraged to attend a 90-minute class to learn how to improve your own driving instruction and help your teen to become a better driver. Find out about the new rules for first-time drivers. We will provide you with information and tools you can use to help support your teen in driving safely.New drivers have to log 50 hours or driving while they have their permit. Find out how to do this and reduce the required amount by 10 hours by attending a Shakopee Community Education Point of Impact (POI) meeting. Parents/guardians are encouraged to provide as many additional hours with their teens as possible to prepare them to become a safe driver. The driving log must be presented at the time of the road test and submitted with the application for the provisional license.
