PROGRAM UPDATE: As of July 1, 2024, there is no longer a requirement for participants to take an 8-hour class. First-time participants can take the 4-hour class and repeat every three years to qualify for the discount.
Have you ever wondered what your family heirlooms are worth? Join us for a brief appraising presentation followed by an appraisal of at least one item per participant. Once everyone has had their item valued, certified appraiser David Schlueter will examine additional items as time allows. Examples of items that can be appraised are antiques, fine jewelry, costume jewelry, precious gemstones, all art, and coins. This class is for items you can easily carry. Private appraisals will be available upon request. Please refrain from bringing firearms or Beanie Babies. Name and describe the one item you would like appraised on the registration form, and email photos of the item to estarke@shakopee.k12.mn.us after you register. Light refreshments will be provided.
David Schlueter has over 40 years of experience with antiques, specializing in art, jewelry, coins and furniture. He grew up in Minnesota, served in the military for 20 years, lived abroad for ten years and traveled around the world. David is USPAP certified, teaches antique appraising, is a G.I.A. graduate, college trained art appraiser, and professional numismatic appraiser.
