PROGRAM UPDATE: As of July 1, 2024, there is no longer a requirement for participants to take an 8-hour class. First-time participants can take the 4-hour class and repeat every three years to qualify for the discount.
This diabetes education course provides an in-depth look at the ongoing obesity epidemic and highlights the latest advancements in treatment. Attendees will explore new FDA-approved Semaglutide (also known as Ozempic) and Tirzepatide (also known as Mounjaro) medications, gaining insights into their efficacy, mechanisms, and clinical applications. This session aims to equip participants with up-to-date knowledge to better manage and understand obesity and diabetes.
Colleen Cook, PharmD, CDCES, BC-ADM, is a pharmacist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, islands in the Caribbean, she was first exposed to diabetes from her dad, aunts, uncles, friends and relatives. Her passion, energy and drive to enhance diabetes care grew and inspired her to develop this customized one-on-one diabetes education. Her goal is to help navigate you through a path which enables you to overcome any challenges you face with your diabetes management.
