PROGRAM UPDATE: As of July 1, 2024, there is no longer a requirement for participants to take an 8-hour class. First-time participants can take the 4-hour class and repeat every three years to qualify for the discount.
Parent and Newborn - Baby Talk is a free class for parents with newborns Birth to 16 weeks. The newborn classes will be taught by an Early Childhood Parent and Family Educator along with a Scott County Public Health Nurse. In addition, community guest speakers will be sprinkled throughout the semester including a pediatrician, lactation consultant, car seat technician, physical therapist, speech therapist and more! This class is to be supportive to you as the parent - answering your questions as well as supporting you on your parenting journey. Each week will include a facilitated discussion, a time for questions and answers, and time for weighing your newborn.
