Antique Appraisal Event
Have you ever wondered what your family heirlooms are worth? Join us for a thirty-minute appraising presentation followed by an appraisal of at least one item per participant. You'll be assigned a 10-minute time slot in the order you registered to have your item appraised. Once everyone has had their item valued, Certified Appraiser David Schlueter will examine additional items as time allows. Examples of items that can be appraised are antiques, fine jewelry, costume jewelry, precious gemstones, all art, and coins. This is for items you can easily carry. Please refrain from bringing firearms or Beanie Babies. Please name the one item you would like appraised on the registration form, and email photos of the item if you can, to estarke@shakopee.k12.mn.us at least one week prior to the event. Coffee and treats will be provided.

Dog Obedience 101
Home and Garden
This six-week class will focus on building a reliable foundation of basic obedience commands. You will learn how to communicate effectively with and handle your dog, shape desirable behaviors, and reduce unwanted behaviors quickly and efficiently. We will focus on “relationship-based” training methods that are designed to strengthen the bond between you and your dog, because a well-balanced relationship is key to having a well-behaved dog. Dogs must be 16 weeks or older to participate, and must have current bordetella, distemper, and rabies vaccinations. This is not a class for behavior modification, so if your dog is exhibiting any aggression or reactivity, please consider working with your dog in a private training session. The environment of a group class will not be a good fit for reactive/aggressive dogs. Bring proof of mentioned vaccinations and leave your dog home for the first day of class. Meets six times.
