Parent and Newborn - Baby Talk is a free class for parents with newborns Birth to 16 weeks. The newborn classes will be taught by an Early Childhood Parent and Family Educator along with a Scott County Public Health Nurse. In addition, community guest speakers will be sprinkled throughout the semester including a pediatrician, lactation consultant, car seat technician, physical therapist, speech therapist and more! This class is to be supportive to you as the parent/guardian - answering your questions as well as supporting you on your parenting journey. Each week will include a facilitated discussion, a time for questions and answers, and time for weighing your newborn.

Parent and Ones Classes: You and your child will start your class together exploring and engaging with developmentally appropriate toys, activities and arts and crafts before a large group circle time where you and your child will participate in songs and movement activities together. A gradual separation for caregiver conversations with a licensed Parent Educator will take place when parents feel comfortable.

Parent and Pre-K: Preschoolers are excited to explore the world and meet new friends. These classes include a parent/child play time, a circle time and a separation time where parents will enjoy a time for discussion with one of our Parent and Family Educators while your preschooler continues to explore their classroom and build peer relationships, confidence, and independence with guidance from their Early Childhood teacher.

Parent and Pre-K-Explorers of Tomorrow : Prepare your child for a world of limitless possibilities in our “Explorers of Tomorrow” preschool class. This engaging program invites both children and parents to embark on a journey of discovery, fostering a lifelong love for learning and exploration through a blend of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), outdoor adventures, yoga, literature and other creative activities. Parents will enjoy a parent education time, separating from their child for a portion of each class.

Peek into Preschool - Lunch Bunch: This special one-hour “Add On” to Peek into Preschool will support students in learning all about the lunch room - how to hold a lunch tray, go through the lunch line, sit at a cafeteria lunch table, open a milk carton, and so much more. The Early Childhood Teacher and the Early Childhood Para will support each child as they learn these skills.

Parent and Threes: Join us for this special class that is designed just for a 3 yr old’s social/emotional, physical and cognitive development. Each class time will allow for you and your child to explore the classroom, join in a circle time filled with songs, fingerplays and motor activities, and end with a separation time where parents will meet with a licensed parent educator to talk about various topics chosen by the group ( based around the development of a 3 year old) while the children stay engaged in play and social interaction with their peers and our Early Childhood staff.

Parent and Twos Classes: Join us with your two year old as they explore with curiosity and passion. Each class starts with caregiver/child play time, an art opportunity, and circle time songs. Class will then separate for caregivers to enjoy a chat time with one of our Parent and Family Educators as your two year old continues to explore their classroom and build peer relationships guided by an Early Childhood teacher.
