  • 2025/2026 Peek into Preschool All Year (34 months - 4 years by 9/1)

    Peek into Preschool:: Sept - May (34-48 months) Must be eligible for class by 9/1/25. This class is perfect for children who are working towards the independent skills needed for preschool as with a unique blend of parent/child time and peer group interaction. The day includes playtime together followed by circle time and time for separation where families will have the opportunity to support each other in discussions led by a licensed parent educator. Parents/guardians must register and attend the class day on Mondays with Wednesday being a child alone day, where your child will begin to gain independence and self confidence.   • 3D Printing: Minecraft-Inspired

    Learn the ins and outs of 3D Design and 3D printing with TinkerCAD! TinkerCAD will teach you 3D design and 3D printing! While learning 3D-design skills, students will make custom mobs and Minecraft-inspired creations. We will also do fun Minecraft-inspired challenges and create themed video games while waiting for prints to finish. Printing and material fees are included. Minecraft is a Mojang Studios trademark.   • 55+ Driver Discount Program

    PROGRAM UPDATE: As of July 1, 2024, there is no longer a requirement for participants to take an 8-hour class. First-time participants can take the 4-hour class and repeat every three years to qualify for the discount. The Driver Discount Program is a state-approved accident prevention/insurance discount class that is open to the public. Pre-registration is required. A Precision Driving Center of Minnesota certified instructor teaches this class. Participants will be provided the latest information regarding driver and traffic safety, new vehicle technology and updates on traffic laws. This class has something for everyone! Participants ages 55 and older who complete the course qualify for up to a 10% discount on their auto insurance premiums for three years and must take a four-hour refresher class every three years to maintain the discount.

  • Advanced Tae Kwon Do (Session 2)

    Ages 6-Adult Advanced Kroells Karate Club (KKC) School of Tae Kwon Do students will continue their training in this class by increasing their flexibility, self-control, strength, and reflexes.     Alcohol inks are a vibrant and fluid art medium that produce stunning dynamic effects. In this class, you'll discover how to harness their distinctive properties as we guide you through the process of creating a beautiful, stylized sunflower on YUPO paper.     In this camp, we will have fun combining various art materials with principles of science to investigate how the worlds of art and science intersect. We will experiment with tinfoil, shaving cream, glow-in-the-dark paint, chalk, glue, salt and watercolors to make interesting and colorful creations. We will also make cupcakes on canvas with puffy shaving cream frosting, make art that glows, try our hand at foil embossing and more in this camp of art experiments. Meets four times.
  • Art Masters Pastel Camp

    Learn about a new medium and explore art history by studying different artists and their work. Create wonderful artwork while being inspired by Edvard Munch's The Scream, Pablo Picasso's Woman in Hat, Vincent Van Gogh's Chair, Wassily Kandinsky's Bavarian Market Square, and Claude Monet's Regatta at Argenteuil. The daily results will be truly frame-able! Meets four times.
  • Battle Drones Camp

    Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents' drones. Students will be guided by experienced instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones. The best drone pilots and launchers will emerge victorious! Meets three times. Please not this camp only meets M-W.

Snow-ver is a robotic research penguin that campers will use to investigate penguin habitats while creating flippers and launchers to propel their own plush magnetic penguins across the South Pole.   • Cheer & Tumble Camp (Session 2)

    We’ve got spirit, yes we do! We’ve got spirit, how ‘bout you? Avoid the mid-summer slump with this fun four-day camp, where we will jump in and learn basic skills of cheerleading and tumbling! On the last day of camp, students will show off their routine and new skills in a short performance for family members! Students will need to wear dance/athletic attire and clean tennis or jazz shoes. Snacks will be provided. No prior dance experience necessary. Meets four times.
  • Chemistry and Crafts Camp

    In this fun interactive camp, participants will learn about chemistry by doing various craft projects and experiments. They will learn about solutions and how elements are dissolved and then re-crystallized in a different form by making rock candy. They will explore which ingredients have active, non-active and reactive properties, and what makes them bind together and "fizz" while making bath bombs and shower steamers. Participants will discuss melting points of different substances while making a bar of "melt and pour" soap. Lastly, campers will learn about the various densities of liquids while making their own lava lamp from an upcycled bottle. Take-home projects will include a starter solution for rock candy, a few bath bombs/shower steamers, a bar of soap, and a homemade lava lamp.

Behind-the-wheel instruction is scheduled with the students after successful completion of 30 hours of classroom instruction, passing the state written exam, and 20 hours of behind the wheel with a parent/guardian. The cost for the driver's education series is $420.00 in 2024-2025. The cost includes the 30 hours of classroom instruction, plus 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training. All 2024-2025 school year classroom sessions will be held at the Shakopee High School, 2nd Floor Lecture Room. Participants will put their problem-solving skills and creativity to the test to find a solution to a variety of challenges, including designing prosthetic limbs, building wind turbines, earthquake-proofing buildings and more. Inventors will benefit from learning how nature connects to STEM and solving real-world problems, as well as, further developing their teamwork and problem-solving skills. Make sure to dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants as part of this class will be outdoors. Meets four times.

    Eureka Engineering introduces students to the core skills of robotics and STEM through engaging, hands-on learning opportunities. Student groups will work with Lego Mindstorm kits, which include both electrical and mechanical components. The small groups will be mentored by experienced and passionate instructors. Parents are welcome to watch their child's robotic creations come to life in exciting and competitive challenges including drag racing, fighting robots and more. Meets three times.
